It’s been a busy few weeks around here but we received some big news yesterday as we discovered all of Teacher Education candidates passed the edTPA Certification Exam! This maintains the 100% pass rate on this exam since it was implemented in the state.

Kudos to our students for maintaining such a high level of achievement. If you want to be prepared as a teacher, this is an indicator of what a strong program we have here

Through two TEACH grant programs, UAH College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences is reducing financial barriers and helping students turn their dreams of teaching into reality.

“There’s a chance we’re missing one of the great teachers out there because they can’t afford school,” said Dr. Jeremy Elliott, CESHS associate dean. “It’s rewarding to help remove financial barriers and support people entering a field where they are so greatly needed.”

to that time our ABA program was recognized as Tier 2A by the Association for Behavior Analysis International’s (ABAI) Tiered Model of Education. Plus, a 100% pass rate for first time test takers in 2024 on the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) examination!
