This group is participating in Jr High and Sr High FCS Skill a thon in McMinn County. We also have a group from Scott County High participating in Forestry Judging in Anderson County.

UPDATE

Our Forestry Team had some tough competition today. We didn’t place but learned and had a GREAT time! A big thank you to Mr Sam Krahn for training this team.

We’re only a couple weeks out from starting our Shooting Sports programs back up! In addition to Archery, we will be offering BB Guns this year as well. This team will be structured around safe handling, but is open to any 4-Her who wants to join. And the best part, is all equipment will be provided!

Our online registration and payment is now LIVE! Scan our QR code below to sign up. Our practices will be held on Thursdays from 5:15-6pm. The cost to join is $100, which covers the whole school year and includes ammunition and tournament costs. Spots are limited so we encourage you to sign up soon, and we are so excited to have you!

The Master Beef Producer Program registration is open and the first day is coming up fast!

Classes will start at 5:30 pm and run until approximately 7:30 pm at the Scott County Office Building. Drinks and refreshments are provided, and it is encouraged to bring family as well for whoever wants to attend. Only one registration is needed per certificate. There will also be guest speakers on some nights!

The schedule for the program will be Mondays and Thursdays: August 31st and September 3rd, 7th, 10th, 14th, 17th, 21st, and 24th (you only need to attend 7 out of the 8 classes in order to obtain a certificate).

Laken-9th high individual in Beef out of more than 20 competitors
Becca-8th high individual in Pork out of more than 15
Steven- 3rd high individual in Lamb
Isabel: 14th in Chicken.

There were more than a dozen teams in the Jr High Division.
They did AWESOME today!

Reminder that it’s almost time for our Shooting Sports Teams to start practicing again! Archery will start on Thursday, September 10th. Spots are limited, so sign up soon!

Ryleigh Boutwell, is excited and looking forward to serving on State 4-H Council, during the 2026-2027 school year. She is the Representative at Large.

Today, she is looking forward to greeting and welcoming guests to the Picnic at the Fair at the State Fair.

Ryleigh, was elected to state council during State 4-H Round Up in July.

Congratulations Ryleigh! We are so proud of you!!
