Joy Ministry at University Heights

OUR MISSION:
University Heights Joy Ministry exists to promote spiritual growth of special needs individuals and their families and to equip them in becoming full participants and contributors in the Body of Christ and their community. OUR VISION:
We want to welcome every person with special needs to our church family where they and their families will be loved and supported. We believe that people of all abilities have value to God and to us.
2. We believe that the message of Jesus Christ is for people of all abilities. OUR STORY:
In 2009 Roberta Davis noticed a family in church struggling to keep their small child with disabilities seated and occupied during the worship service. The family needed to leave several times during the service so as not to distract others. Roberta saw a need and felt the Lord calling her to action. She, along with, Mary Gail Doddridge and Betty Hilton began working. They planned lessons and engaging activities in order to teach a young child about Jesus while providing the parents the opportunity to attend the church service and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Luke recorded what the angel said "...I bring you good news of great joy that will be for ALL people". It is our mission here at University Heights Joy Ministry that we bring that good news to ALL people in a way that is beneficial and provides their parents an opportunity to do the same.
