The Alabama State Department of Education's Office of Educator Development is offering several free virtual professional learning opportunities during the 2026–2027 school year. These online courses are facilitated by Dr. Barry Wiginton and provide valuable learning focused on school leadership, instructional practices, and school climate.

The available courses include:

Supporting School Climate through Engagement (15 hours)
Supporting School Climate through Environment (15 hours)
Supporting School Climate through Safety (15 hours)
Effective Feedback to Enhance Instructional Practices (8 hours)
The Role of ATGP in Teacher Effectiveness (8 hours)
Peter DeWitt & Michael Nelson: Coaching for Collective Leader Efficacy (1 hour)

These courses will be offered August 2026 through April 2027, providing flexibility for busy school leaders to participate at times that work best for their schedules.
