• Oct. 30 – Sophomores (31–60 earned hours)
• Nov. 3 – Freshmen (0–30 earned hours)
• Nov. 5 – Graduate students & all currently enrolled students

If you’re a middle or high school student in one of our eligible counties—Colbert, Cullman, Fayette, Franklin, Jackson, Lamar, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, and Morgan—this is your chance to showcase your research and innovation at one of the region’s premier STEM events.

Students can register through their school/teacher or independently through NARSEF Direct—making it easy for everyone to participate!

Future scientists and engineers, it’s your time to shine!🔬✨ Registration is now open for the 72nd annual North Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair, hosted by UAH College of Engineering on March 6, 2026. Students from across North Alabama will showcase their innovative research and design projects in life sciences, engineering, psychology, environmental studies, and more.

New this year: NARSEF Direct makes it possible for students to register even if their school doesn’t host a fair or offer a science club—ensuring every student has the chance to participate in STEM discovery.🌟

🎯 Lauryn Worthington – Industrial & Systems Engineering Intern Spotlight

📍 Hometown: Fayetteville, TN
🏢 Internship: Student Hire Supporting Threat Systems Management Office at Intuitive

🛠️ What she's working on:
Lauryn works in the Systems Division with the Aerial Branch at Intuitive, where she supports efforts related to threat systems management. One of her favorite parts of the internship is seeing the concepts she's studied in class come to life on the job, providing a powerful connection between theory and real-world application.
