Alone, diversity is a description, but when used as a concept to drive equity, diversity becomes a practice of valuing all humanity; a means of increasing access and inclusion; a framework for creating a community that nurtures learning and growth for all of its members; and an individual and collective responsibility for combating prejudice and discrimination through a gained understanding of these issues during our education, training, and engagement with others.
