Learning doesn't always happen in a classroom.

This fall, ElderCollege is taking learning on the road.

Explore Ohio wine during a guided tasting at Mulberry Creek. Discover the stories behind works of art at the Allen Memorial Art Museum. Go behind the scenes at Humanetics to learn how crash-test dummies are designed and produced.

These field trips offer a chance to learn something new while experiencing places and organizations in our own region.

Registration is now open, and space is limited for some field trips.

If history is your thing, ElderCollege has plenty to explore this fall.

Take a closer look at the forces that shaped the United States with America 250: Legacy, Mythology, History.

Then go further back with a three-part series examining the relationship between the British Crown and the American colonies, from the establishment of the colonies through taxation, regulation and eventually rebellion.

You can also explore the history of Plum Brook Ordnance Works and its role in the World War II effort.

Three courses. Three very different stories. Plenty to talk about.

Registration opens Sept. 1. Most ElderCollege classes are $12.
