What a phenomenal evening! We came together to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and achievements of both our students and employees, and it was truly an inspiring event.

Thank you to everyone who played a role in making the evening such a success. Whether you helped plan, organize, support, or simply attended to encourage our graduates, your contributions made a meaningful difference.

The accomplishments we celebrated are a testament to the commitment and perseverance of our students, as well as the dedication of the employees who support them every step of the way. It was a wonderful reminder of the positive impact we can make when we work together.

🌟 Huge shout-out to Jenny! 🌟 We always like to share a little background because everyone’s journey is unique—everyone’s situation is different, but all can succeed. Jenny joined our program at just 16 and started strong with great scores. Although life threw some challenges her way and she couldn’t finish at first, she returned this session as an adult—still scoring high! With a little boost of confidence, Jenny started testing again and officially completed today. We’re so proud of her perseverance and determination! Today, we also talked about her exciting options for transitioning into college courses. Congrats, Jenny—your future is bright! 🎓✨

In case you are unaware, the Adult Education Center also has GED classes at Hutchinson Correctional Facility. "Those who participated in education programs had a 43% lower chance of recidivating than incarcerated individuals who did not. Participating in education programs also increased the chances of obtaining employment post-release by 13%."

This year we have served 106 students (with more on a waiting list) and today, we have 16 students graduating with their GED! That makes 46 for the whole year! Many of these students are looking at continuing their education through different Career and Technical Education offered through HutchCC. We couldn't be more proud of the work these men have put in to achieve their goals.

Big shoutout to Tiffany Green for officially earning her credentials today! 🥳 Tiffany and her partner-in-crime started this adventure together about 7 weeks ago, cheering each other on through the wins (and the “are we really doing this?!” moments). We’re celebrating Tiffany’s big milestone today and can’t wait to swap high-fives for her friend’s victory soon. Keep the confetti handy—there’s more to come!
