East Williamson County Higher Education Center

East Williamson County Higher Education Center EWCHEC, a multi-institution teaching center with locations in Hutto and Taylor, offers degrees from Today there are locations in Taylor and Hutto, Texas.

EWCHEC was established in 2007 to bring higher education and workforce opportunities to rural residents in Williamson County. The centers offer academic and technical degree programs through Texas State Technical College and Temple College. The Hutto location also offers bachelor's and master's level courses from A&M - Central Texas.

When global leaders like Tesla need highly skilled technicians, they partner with TSTC! ⚙️⚡️

We are incredibly proud of the nine Tesla employees who graduated from our accelerated training program right here in Williamson County.

Through this unique, co-designed partnership, these students tackled an intense, hands-on curriculum to fast-track their careers from production roles into high-skilled maintenance technician positions.

Adulting is hard, but our students are getting a head start! 🙌

TSTC in Williamson County had a great turnout for the "Adulting 101: Professionalism in the Workplace" workshop! Big thanks to the LCRA for stopping by to share invaluable advice on everything from workplace expectations to why "Attendance = Trust." 👷‍♂️

Longtime Texas State Technical College supporter Lochridge Priest, a Waco-based mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractor, gave a $30,000 contribution to The TSTC Foundation to fund scholarships for students in the Electrical Construction, HVAC and Plumbing and Pipefitting programs at the Waco campus and for HVAC students at the Williamson County campus.

We thank Lochridge Priest for their continued partnership and investment in the future of the Texas workforce.
