Happy International Chefs Day!
Today, we celebrate our extraordinary CIA alumni, Fellows, faculty, students, and all chefs who use food to connect, inspire, and care for others. Whether leading a kitchen, mentoring future chefs, or creating moments of joy around the table, your passion enriches lives and strengthens our global culinary community.
At the CIA, we take pride in changemaking alumni like Chef Cat Cora ’95, founder of Chefs for Humanity, and Chef Johnny Hernandez ’89, founder of Kitchen Campus. Both utilize their craft to fight hunger, empower youth, and uplift communities through food.
Their legacy is carried on by students like Cory Stevens ’26, who aspires to provide culinary education to families facing food insecurity. With scholarship support, Cory and other CIA students are learning to make the world a better place, one meal at a time.
Thank you for your continued support through your Fellows giving. If you feel inspired to make an even bigger impact this International Chefs Day, consider supporting CIA student scholarships. Together, we can continue to help the next generation of culinary leaders use food as a force for good.
