The Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta was chartered on January 28,2011 in the South Atlantic Region, by 18 dynamic Deltas. We serve all of the cities and townships within Union County, North Carolina, located just east of Charlotte. The programs and projects implemented by our chapter are framed by the five-point programmatic thrust of our sorority: Economic Development, Education

Happy Pride Month to our sorors, partners, and friends!

Delta Sigma Theta has always stood for love, inclusion, and respecting the full dignity of every person. While we remain anchored in that legacy, we also acknowledge the need to continue to evolve with intention by championing affirming policies, and forging a culture where every member is seen, valued, and protected.

This Pride Month, we honor and celebrate the beautiful diversity and strength of the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to being allies in the fight for a better future where the freedom to love and exist in one’s authentic identity is not contingent on the political climate. Especially when that freedom is being challenged, we choose to show up louder, love harder, and stand firmer in our commitment to justice for all.

As we begin a new month, we’re continuing our Books for Babies collection benefiting newborns and families at Atrium West and Atrium Union. 💙👶🏽

There’s still time to help us place books into the hands of families and encourage a love for reading from the very beginning. Whether you purchase a book from our wish list or make a monetary donation, your support helps create meaningful moments of learning, bonding, and joy.

Our collection drive runs through June 30. Thank you to everyone who has already supported this initiative and helped us make an impact in the lives of local families. 📖✨

💙💚 Huge shoutout to Union County Public Schools for ensuring children continue to have access to nutritious meals this summer through their Summer Meals Program!

For many children, school meals are a vital source of daily nutrition. When school is out, families can face increased food insecurity. Nationally, millions of children rely on summer meal programs to help fill that gap.

Programs like this make a real difference in the lives of children and families in our community. Thank you, UCPS, for stepping up and supporting our youth beyond the classroom! 💚💙

The Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. joins communities across the nation in encouraging open conversation, compassion, and support surrounding mental health.

When we create safe spaces to listen, share, and care for one another, we help break the stigma and remind people they are not alone.

Our Social Action and Physical & Mental Health Committees were honored to collaborate in support of this meaningful event focused on mental wellness, awareness, education, and community resources.

The UCAC Physical and Mental Health Subcommittee is continuing our Books for Babies collection to support newborns and families at Atrium West and Atrium Union through June 30. 👶🏽✨

Board books, bedtime stories, learning books, and culturally inclusive books all help nurture connection, language development, imagination, and early literacy from the very start.
