Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated Welcome to the NEW official page of Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated.

The Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta was chartered on January 28,2011 in the South Atlantic Region, by 18 dynamic Deltas. We serve all of the cities and townships within Union County, North Carolina, located just east of Charlotte. The programs and projects implemented by our chapter are framed by the five-point programmatic thrust of our sorority: Economic Development, Educational Development, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement and International Awareness and Involvement.

Today, October 15, marks the first day of early voting for the 2026 General Election! It’s time to turn awareness into action and make our voices heard at the ballot box!

📅 IMPORTANT VOTING DATES
🔴 Early Voting: October 15–31, 2026
🔴 Early Voting Ends: October 31 at 3:00 PM
🔴 Election Day: November 3, 2026

✅ Vote at any early voting location in your county.
✅ Eligible voters may register and vote during the early voting period.
✅ Bring an acceptable photo ID.

The Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is putting Social Action into ACTION!

As part of our commitment to civic engagement and voter education, our chapter mailed 1,500 postcards to 500 registered voters who did not participate in the last election.

Through a series of three distinct postcards, we provided information, encouragement, and reminders designed to empower these voters to reengage in the democratic process and exercise their right to vote.

Our message is clear: Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Your participation matters!

Voting is more than a right. It is an opportunity to help shape the decisions that impact our families, schools, neighborhoods, and communities.

Breaking the Silence on Domestic Violence

More than 40% of Black women experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Yet, far too many survivors remain silent because of fear, stigma, financial barriers, and a lack of trusted support.

Domestic violence does not discriminate, and no one should have to face it alone.

Breast cancer knows no age, no shade, and no boundaries. Every woman has a story, every journey is different, and every life matters.

This October, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated stands united in raising awareness, celebrating survivors, honoring those we’ve lost, and supporting those currently navigating their breast cancer journey.

💕 Know your risk. Understand your personal and family health history.

💕 Know your normal. Pay attention to changes in your breasts and communicate concerns to your healthcare provider.

💕 Prioritize your breast health. Discuss when and how often you should be screened.

Early detection can save lives, and no one should have to face breast cancer alone.

Let’s continue to educate, encourage, and empower one another—because early detection matters, and sisterhood makes a difference!
