A toast, to the Immortal Memory!
245 years ago today, on July 4, 1781, Scotland's national bard was initiated as an Entered Apprentice into Lodge St. David, Tarbolton.Brother Robert Burns lived his life by the core Masonic values of equality, virtue, and universal brotherhood—ideals that jumps off the page in his timeless poetry. From "A Man’s a Man for a’ That" to the worldwide anthem "Auld Lang Syne," his words still unite us today.
Sharing this fantastic history from The Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons of Scotland.
