Butler University Arts Administration In response to a growing need to broaden the career opportunities for JCA students, Butler established the Arts Administration program in the late 1970s.

Today, over 80 students study arts administration at Butler.

“This summer I’m going to be working with the Irish Modern Dance Theatre in Dublin for two months, and after that I’ll be moving to Ann Arbor! Arts admin has been my home for the last four years. Although I’m sad to leave, I feel beyond prepared to start my career and that’s all due to the incredible instruction from my courses. “Butlers art administration program has been a transformative part of my college career. Arts admin has played a pivotal role in who I am as an artist and a leader. It has given me invaluable opportunities and knowledge that I will carry with me as I start my professional career.
