🌟 Former Intern Spotlight: Anna Barrett 🌟

From gaining hands-on experience in developmental medicine at Riley to pursuing a PhD in School Psychology, Anna’s journey is a great example of where curiosity, hard work, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone can lead.
Her advice for future interns? “Give it everything you’ve got, even if you aren’t sure at first.” 💡

We’re grateful to have been a small part of Anna’s path and can’t wait to see the impact she continues to make in the lives of children and families.

20 years of impact, mentorship, discovery, and opportunity.

Since January 2007, the Life-Health Sciences Internship Program has connected students with hands on experiences across healthcare, research, public health, biotechnology, and beyond, helping shape the next generation of leaders in the life-health sciences field.

This post officially kicks off our year long celebration of 20 Years of LHSI! Throughout the upcoming academic year, we’ll be sharing alumni stories, internship experiences, student spotlights, program milestones, professional growth, behind-the-scenes moments, and the incredible community that has made LHSI what it is today.

We want to congratulate three interns who won awards at the LHSI showcase. Rahath Bhuiyan won best LHSI elevator pitch visual, Kloe Wang won best LHSI showcase summary, and Jill Ramsey won best LHSI verbal elevator pitch.

Rahath and Kloe's awards were selected by LHSI Alumni judges and Jill's was selected by a faculty judge.
