Happy 181st birthday to Founder Otis Allan Glazebrook!

In 1865, Otis saw the hatred in our country after the Civil War and knew true peace would come not from the force of law, but from the hearts of men willing to revive a spirit of brotherly love.

At just 19, Otis invited Erskine Mayo Ross and Alfred Marshall to his home and read them the Constitution he had written for the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Otis then invited them to sign and join him in his journey to reunite the men in our country.

From that day until his last, Otis devoted his life to mending and bonding men together through brotherhood. He entered the Chapter Eternal in 1931.

Today we celebrate and remember Otis’ life and legacy.

To bind men together in a brotherhood based upon eternal and immutable principles, with a bond as strong as right itself and as lasting as humanity ; to know no North, no South, no East, no West, but to know man as man, to teach that true men the world over should stand together. For some, the greatest impact of being an ATO isn’t measured by the positions they held or the recognition they received, but by the relationships they built and the success of the brothers around them.

From chapter traditions like Battle of the Buffalo to mentoring the next generation of ATOs, the bonds of brotherhood continue long after our collegiate years for brothers like Caleb March.

Because being an ATO is more than four years. It’s a lifetime.

This past weekend, our brothers from across the nation came together to honor the victims and first responders from September 11, 2001.

We are proud of our men for honoring those we lost and those who protected us.

We will never forget, L&R 🤝

Today marks 25 years since the most unthinkable of tragedies.

We will never forget those who lost their lives, and we will never forget the courage of the heroes who responded.

Today, we honor, we reflect, and we remember.

161 years ago, Alpha Tau Omega was founded on ideals that were meant to endure.

Today, those ideals continue through every brother who chooses to lead with character, build brotherhood and serve something greater than himself.

This Founders Day, we honor where ATO began, and the generations of brothers who continue to carry the values forward.

Different decades. Different faces. Same letters.

For 161 years, brothers of Alpha Tau Omega have made their mark, built lifelong connections, and carried the ATO legacy forward.

ATO through the years.

Founders Day is almost here.
