Curious about the Department of Classics and Religious Studies? Jenna Brandes is here to share her experience in the department during her undergraduate studies.

Jenna Brandes is a junior triple majoring in Psychology, Sociology, and Classics and Religious Studies on the pre-law track.

Jenna began her journey in the department as a Religious Studies minor. After taking classes with Dr. Brandon Dean, Jenna became a major in Classics and Religious Studies.

Through the program, Jenna found new ways to delve into her passions and express her creativity. Through the Spring Undergraduate Research Festival, she examined the practical limitations of living out the parable of the good samaritan. A study which examined time constraints and the need for self preservation influence things like pro-social behavior through religious and moral associations.

Outside of the classroom, Jenna has found her place on campus through being a research assistant in the judgment, decision, and social comparison lab in the Psychology department, a housing and dining RA, Psi-Chi, and the Student Ministry Navigators.
