The Native American Student Association meets each Thursday night at 6pm at the Latino Native American Cultural Center. This meeting place and time was established in 1994 and has been consistent so that alumni and other visitors know they are welcome to join the night's activities.

Join NASA and Filmscene next Tuesday as we watch Sherman Alexie’s The Business of Fancy Dancing at the Chauncey!

Support Native film, connect with students planning this year’s powwow, buy discounted t-shirts and tickets, eat delicious filmscene popcorn, learn about fancy dancing, and get ready for our celebration in just two weeks!

We think 2 weeks out from Powwow is a great time to share who our Head Man and Lady are!

Powwow is 2 weeks away, and we are welcoming Tribal members from all over Turtle Island to let the land dance through us.

Competition, Prizes, and Honoraria are available for all dancers and drum groups. Show up, dance your dance, and maybe leave with a bit more than you started with!

Dance opportunities for all age categories. Not Native? No problem! we will be hosting intertribals throughout the day where EVERYONE is invited to the circle!

Register before Grand Entry at the Fieldhouse the night before (4/17) from 6pm- 10pm and the morning of (4/18) from 7:30am-9:30am

This week, NASA will also be preparing Thanksgiving meals for our relatives at the Shelter House. We’ll be plating meals on Thursday and are currently accepting donations. If you’re in the Iowa City area and want to share your time, skills, or cooking talents with the community, just let me know—we can arrange a pick-up time and .
