That’s the final sip of the 2026 💚☕️

This year’s brought healthy relationship conversations across campus — from reflection and creativity to cocoa, chalk, and community care. We’re so grateful for everyone who showed up, engaged, and helped spread green flag energy.

🫶 Our CPEs kicked off the week with a Green Flag session, reflecting on healthy relationships and creating custom cup sleeves for the cocoa event.

☕ At the Cozy Connections Cocoa Bar, students “took a cup, shared a cup,” wrote affirmations and green flags, made valentines, and added to our paper chain.

📱 Students engaged with green flag messaging on social media all week long — liking, sharing, and tagging us in their favorites.

🖍️ Today, our CPEs filled campus sidewalks with green flag chalk messages about consent, respect, and healthy love.

As the week wraps up, we hope you’ll keep carrying the campaign forward — continuing to practice respect, communication, care, and accountability in your everyday relationships 💚

✨ It’s not too late to join in! Stop by WRAC anytime today (Friday) to grab valentines and goodies for this weekend!

Healthy relationships don’t stay full on their own ☕💚

When we talk about green flags filling our relationship mug, we’re talking about the everyday behaviors that help relationships feel steady, safe, and cared for. Things like listening when it’s hard, respecting boundaries even when they’re inconvenient, taking accountability when we mess up, and showing up with patience and kindness over time.

Good relationships stay good not because they’re perfect, but because the people in them keep pouring into each other in healthy ways. When respect, trust, care, and support are consistently present, relationships feel warmer, more balanced, and more sustainable — whether they’re romantic, platonic, familial, or something else entirely.

So take a moment to reflect: what helps keep your relationship mug full? Share the slide that resonates with you, and keep celebrating green flags with us this week 💚☕

💚☕ Healthy relationships are brewing at Iowa! ☕💚

This Valentine’s week, we’re launching the —a weeklong campaign designed to focus on the positive behaviors that help relationships feel safe, supportive, and fulfilling. Instead of centering “red flags,” we’re highlighting green flags: things like respect, communication, consent, boundaries, trust, and shared care.

Green flags are the everyday actions that help relationships grow and stay healthy over time. They show up in how we listen, how we handle conflict, how we respect one another’s limits, and how we show care—whether in romantic relationships, friendships, family connections, or with ourselves.

Follow along this week as we share reflections, activities, and ways to celebrate healthy love across campus 💚

Attributed to Carter G. Woodson, Black History Month was originally selected in February to encompass the birthdays of two great Americans who played a prominent role in the shaping of black history, Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. Woodson noted however, that focus should turn towards the countless black people who contributed to the advancement of human civilization.
