It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved sister, Melissa Jane “Malia” Wilbur Morgan #3, on May 16, 2026, following a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Melissa was a founding member at Shippensburg University in Fall 2003 and a quiet yet powerful presence who left a lasting impact on us all.

Melissa will be remembered for her compassion, intelligence, quick wit, and fierce devotion to her family. She dedicated her professional life to public service and advocacy, always striving to uplift and support others. Melissa had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, understood, and cared for, and she carried herself with grace, resilience, and strength through every stage of life.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Melissa “Evanitsi” Gonzalez.

Melissa “Evanitsi” Gonzalez, Deuce (Fall 2010) of Chi Line from the Epsilon Beta Chapter, will be remembered as a bright light who touched many lives. Melissa embodied sisterhood through her dependability, compassion, and caring spirit.

She immediately brightened any room with her infectious smile and laughter. She was always present for her friends and family, never missing an opportunity to show up for those she loved.

After UCI, Melissa went on to fulfill her dream of becoming a registered nurse. She was known for her kindness, dedication to her profession, and unwavering advocacy for her patients. Melissa poured her whole heart into her friends, family, and patients alike. Melissa didn’t just tell you she loved you, she made you feel it through her huge hugs and her passion for life that made your heart sing.
