University of Iowa School of Art & Art History Created in 1935, the School of Art and Art History is a top-ten public art school in the U. S. with 650 undergrads majors and 100 graduate students.

A top-ten public art school with programs in Art History, 3D Design, Animation, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Intermedia, Jewelry and Metal Arts, Photography, Painting and Drawing, Printmaking and Sculpture, with notable faculty and students including Grant Wood, Philip Guston, David Hockney, Mauricio Lasansky, Han Breder, Elizabeth Cattlet, Ana Mendieta, and Charles Ray. The School is house in two sculptural buildings designed by Steven Holl.
