Sports Medicine Club at UCI

Sports Medicine Club at UCI Meetings are on Wednesdays @ 6:50 PM in the Sports Medicine Center located in Crawford Hall.

UCI Sports Medicine Club is designed as a service to UC Irvine students interested in areas including sports medicine, physical therapy, athletic training, rehab, nutrition and other health associated areas. Sports Medicine Club holds an annual barbeque to promote the organization and publicize. Activities include hands-on learning, guest speakers, field trips, as well as socials such as athletic

events, bonfires, bowling, scavenger hunts, pizza or ice cream socials. UCI Sports Medicine club also actively participates in the charity event Relay for life. Club members also have opportunity to attend the annual FWATA conference held in Las Vegas, Reno, Hawaii, or San Diego. In order to give its members more real life experience, the organization takes trips to body world as well as local hospitals to go see surgeries take place. Although there are many other organizations that deal with pre-medical hands on experience, Sports Medicine Club is one of the only organizations that does the majority of their work and provides hands on experience on campus itself. Additionally, Sports Medicine Club is unique because they directly give back to the UCI community by playing a significant role in the success of our Division I athletic teams.
