Cornelia for Southern Region Phylacter

I am seeking your support as I place my name in candidacy for the position of Southern Regional Phylacter. I seek this position as the rule of law is important to how we function as an organization. I have a passion for operating in and understanding good governance. Following our rules and amending them when they become outdated is the appropriate action for our organization and allows us to stay current and move forward with the changing times. I want to ensure that we continue the path forward for excellence in governance by keeping our governing documents current and available to our members. I want to demonstrate the importance, necessity, and gravity of parliamentary procedure and be available to assist chapter phylacters along their journey with parliamentary procedure. I believe that I can be impactful in the role of Phylacter as I bring with me six years of experience as Phylacter at the chapter level. I have served on the Regional Bylaws Committee since 2018 and served on the International Bylaws Committee and Constitution & Bylaws Revisions Committee from 2021 - 2022. Following that service, I served on the Transition & Oversight committee from 2022 -2024 and on the International Grievance Committee from post Boule 2022 to present. Each of these committees responsibilities are driven by the governance of our organization. Not only have I served in a governance capacity, I have continued honing my leadership skills in the realm of Zeta Phi Beta. I achieved ZOL certification in 2022 and completed certification in the ZOL President's Institute in 2023. Coupled with those leadership certifications and the leadership training and experience I have received throughout my professional career, I went on to the position of 2nd Anti-Basileus where I oversee the numerous programs amplifying the Extraordinary Power of S.H.E. I believe that the time is now and that I am primed and ready to serve the "Mighty" Southern Region.
