Cornell Systems Engineering

Cornell Systems Engineering Providing Masters, MS and PhD programs in multidisciplinary systems engineering. We empower students in solutions to solve a variety of societal design and operational needs.

Cornell Systems Engineering provides Master's and PhD programs in multidisciplinary systems engineering. We empower students in solutions to solve a variety of societal design and operational issues in today's complex world. Our programs were born out of a demand, voiced directly from corporate leaders, for engineers who could rise above disciplinary boundaries and take leadership from a systems perspective. We have aligned five of the world’s most renowned engineering departments to create an interdisciplinary program with unprecedented depth and strength. This remarkable combination is at the core of our interdisciplinary approach. Whether you are a recent engineering graduate or a working professional, you will find we have educational offerings geared to this point in your career: the point at which you start to take a systems view.

Daziano Research Group – Choice Modeling @ Cornell University

Check out the Daziano Research Group that is led by Systems Engineering field faculty member, Prof. Ricardo Daziano (CEE). The primary research areas include; consumer response to mobility and residential energy efficiency, mobility on demand and vehicle automation and advanced estimators of flexible discrete choice models.

Understanding individual choice behavior is critical for several disciplines that need to account for supply and demand dynamics. However, describing and predicting the behavior of agents is extremely challenging. Sophisticated mathematical models are required to better represent individuals’ deci...

Cornell University Sustainable Design Aims to Reduce Waste and Food Insecurity

Congrats to Cornell University Sustainable Design (CUSD) for celebrating your 10-year anniversary of working to envision a more sustainable campus.

Once a coordinated effort to give heaps of gently used microfridges and lamps a new home, Cornell’s annual Dump and Run pop-up has taken a back seat for the past year. Now, Cornell University Sustainable Design is breathing new life into the effort to reduce waste in Ithaca by both swapping in-per...

"Attending Cornell’s MEng-Systems Engineering program is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The program allowed me to acquire the necessary tools to solve problems of any complexity, it also gave me a perspective that many engineers overlook: the human side of every engineering team. The MEng program gave me the flexibility to choose my own electives according to my interests and goals. The faculty are superb and very supportive. On top of all this, Cornell's campus is absolutely gorgeous."
