The Department of Psychology at Cornell University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to participate in Cornell's Active Learning Initiative beginning on July 1, 2026. This initiative supports departments in integrating active learning approaches into their undergraduate curriculum. The one-year term position has the possibility of renewal for an additional year based on performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with faculty to develop and implement active learning strategies into diverse undergraduate Psychology courses (approximately two courses per year). Additionally, they will assess the effectiveness of these strategies on student engagement, learning outcomes and sense of belonging. The Postdoctoral Associate also will participate in weekly seminars with other Active Learning Initiative postdocs, receiving training and support in designing and implementing research-based teaching strategies.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology Human Development, or in a closely related field awarded after September 1, 2023. A passion for teaching and teaching innovation is essential. While prior experience with active learning is preferred, it is not required. Additional beneficial but optional skills include programming, computation, and data analysis.

The Department of Psychology at Cornell University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in the areas of Human Development and Aging. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal.
The successful candidate will work with a primary faculty mentor (Dr. Anthony Ong) and will focus primarily on data analysis and manuscript preparation, with opportunities to publish as first author as well as collaborate on papers with faculty and students.
Applicants must have a PhD in psychology, human development, quantitative psychology, or a related area. Other required qualifications are a strong background/interests in health and well-being, cognitive aging and dementia, loneliness and social isolation, and integrative data analysis, and strong analytic skills such as structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, longitudinal data analysis, and/or categorical analysis (e.g., growth mixture modeling) using R, Mplus, and/or SAS.
This position is funded by an R01 grant (1R01AG082954-01) from the National Institute on Aging in collaboration with Northwestern University. The project is titled "Advancing the Study of Social Isolation, Loneliness, and Cognitive Functioning in Older Adults Through the Use of Integrative Data Analysis.”

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE
The Department of Psychology at Cornell University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in social psychology to begin on August 1, 2026 (though the start date is flexible). The one-year term position has the possibility of renewal for up to three years.
The successful candidate will work closely with a primary faculty mentor (Dr. Jessica Salerno) to conduct and publish research on moral and legal decision-making at the individual and group level. Primary tasks will include analyzing and publishing data from several federally funded projects that have been recently completed. The Postdoctoral Associate will have the opportunity to lead efforts to analyze several large, rich corpuses collected/built via these grants.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or in a closely related field (e.g., Organizational Behavior, Criminology) by the start date of employment. Some interest in testing and applying psychological theory in legal contexts is important, but prior experience doing so is not required. Additional beneficial but optional experience and skills include multi-level modeling, LLM and/or NLP, behavioral coding, and/or psychophysiological monitoring.

OPEN RANK, INSTRUCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY
The Department of Psychology at Cornell University invites outstanding candidates with a passion for teaching to apply for an open-rank position as lecturer/senior lecturer, to begin July 1, 2026.
This is a full-time teaching position. We expect the successful candidate to teach a mix of lower- and upper-division courses (lectures and seminars) as well as graduate-level seminars that cover topics in clinical psychology, broadly construed. Course size will vary, but candidates will be expected to teach at least one large service course on happiness.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology or a closely aligned field completed by the date of appointment and a desire to pursue excellence in teaching. Licensure is not required but licensure eligibility is preferred.

The Department of Psychology at Cornell University invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track position in relationship science, broadly defined, to begin in Fall 2026.
The successful candidate will teach Cornell’s Human Bonding course, which regularly enrolls over 1000 undergraduates each year. The candidate will build upon the foundation established by a retiring faculty member who developed this well-regarded course. Candidates are expected to lead a vigorous, externally funded, and internationally recognized research program commensurate to the rank at which they are applying.
