Sunday Funday with Ithaca College Bands! Come be a part of the long-standing, much loved outdoor downtown tradition, hosted by the Friends of Ithaca College. The annual, free Founder's Day Concert in the Park is a celebration of the partnership that the college has shared with the Ithaca community since 1892.
Sunday, September 17 at 2:00pm in DeWitt Park (rain location: Ford Hall)
Featuring the IC Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, playing works by Frank Ticheli, Percy Grainger, Michele Fernández, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, and much more, including a special rendition of "Ithaca Forever" with the IC Choir!

A reminder to our MTD alumni community: our first ever "Meet the Dean: Virtual Town Hall for Music, Theatre, and Dance Alumni" is happening this month! Two opportunities: Wednesday, September 13 at 12:00 noon EDT, and Tuesday, September 19 at 7:00pm EDT. Pick a time that works for you, and join Dean Anne Hogan for a moderated webinar where she will share a "State-of-the-School", provide a look forward, and take your questions.
To register for either session, click the date below. A few days prior to the Town Hall, an email reminder will be sent to everyone on the RSVP list and the webinar link will also be provided with sign-on instructions.

Calling all High School and Middle School brass players and educators! The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance extends a warm invitation to join us on campus for Ithaca College Brass Day on Saturday, September 30, 2023! This FREE, full day of activities will include events for band directors and music students and feature performances by IC brass faculty and students.
This event is also approved by NYSED to offer 5 CTLE credit hours for teachers who attend, and any high school seniors who attend Brass Day will be able to request a fee waiver for their audition form when applying to IC!

The Ithaca College Tuba/Euphonium Quartet has advanced to the semi-final round of the International Tuba/Euphonium Association's Small Ensemble competition. Jack Goodenough '23 (Music Education/Composition, Euphonium), Andrew Herrick '25 (Music Performance, Euphonium), Joel Spiridigliozzi '23 (Music Performance, Tuba), and Dylan Krukowski '25 (Music Education/Performance, Tuba) will travel to Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ to compete against sixteen other chamber groups from around the globe on May 30 at the International Tuba/Euphonium Conference.
The IC Tuba/Euphonium Quartet are all members of the Ithaca College Tuba/Euphonium Studio, form the Tuba/Euphonium section of the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble, and study with Dr. Dave Earll (Assistant Professor of Tuba/Euphonium). Kudos to all...and break a leg next week!
