Meet Ian Ghasemian, class of 2023.

Ian is majoring in biological sciences with a neuro concentration as well as music. He hopes to conduct research after school.

His favorite music to play is first and foremost chopin, especially nocturnes and etudes, though he’s also a huge fan of the Bach keyboard partitas and the occasional pop cover.

Ian’s favorite part about Music VS is the diversity and range of music we play, providing a platform for any musician to showcase their art, regardless of style.

In his free time, you can find Ian playing soccer, fantasy football, poker, and thrifting.

Meet our President, Margaret Pfeiffer:

Margaret has been a part of Cornell Music Vs for almost 3 years. She is a Biology major ( class of 2022) and volunteers as an EMT and Crisis Counselor. She plans to attend medical school one day and continue playing music for her patients.

Margaret’s favorite part of Cornell Music Vs is playing song requests from the residents at Cayuga Ridge. Her favorite memory was learning “Imagine” by the Beatles and seeing the joy on the resident’s face when she played it.

Some of Margaret’s passions include antiques, romance novels, and breakfast buffets.

Meet our Treasurer, Sanjeevani Joshi.

She studies Biology and Society in and graduates in 2022. She plans to go to medical school and become a doctor one day (yay Dr. Joshi!!!)

Her favorite part of Cornell Music Vs is when we all perform a song together at the end of our trips to Cayuga Ridge.

Her favorite songs to perform are Disney songs.

Meet Anna, our outgoing President!

Anna is an economics major ( '22) and aspires to attend law school after graduation.

Her favorite part about Music Vs is being able to use music to connect with our audiences at Cayuga Ridge and our fellow performers.

The most played music on Anna's Spotify is unaccompanied Bach.

When she's not playing the violin, you can find her spending time with her younger brother or her dogs.

Alex (Cornell ILR Class of 2023) became involved with Cornell Music Vs as a freshman.
His favorite part of Cornell Music is meeting fellow musicians on our weekly trips to Cayuga Ridge Nursing Home.
His favorite song is G.O.A.T by Polyphia. After graduation he hopes to become a high school history teacher.
