Drought and abnormal dryness continued to improve in the Mid-Atlantic and southeastern New York this week. However, conditions deteriorated in portions of northern New England and central New York.

Conditions deteriorated in northern New England, where precipitation continues to be lacking, while some southern areas saw improvement, particularly in West Virginia where significant rain fell last week.
