Gamoran has spent decades working at the intersection of education, inequality, and community-engaged scholarship. His talk, "The Future of Higher Education is Still Social Impact," will make the case that community-partnered research is a compelling answer to growing doubts about what universities are actually for.

What a wonderful Reunion Weekend. We are so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate our 15th anniversary and attend the talk on "Climate Change in an Aging World" by Karl Pillemer, the Hazel E. Reed Human Development Professor at College of Human Ecology at Cornell, Professor of Gerontology in Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and director of the Cornell Institute for Research on Climate & Aging.

The conversation about older adults' vulnerability to climate change and their power to fight back against it left many of you thinking differently. It was a great reminder of why this work matters.
