The Jackson (MS) Alumni Chapter and Canton-Madison (MS) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. came together in a spirit of brotherhood to celebrate and extend well wishes to Brother Dr. Corey Wiggins as he begins a new chapter of leadership as President of Tougaloo College.

Brothers, family, friends, and community leaders gathered to recognize Brother Wiggins’ commitment to service, leadership, and achievement and to wish him continued success as he leads one of Mississippi’s most historic institutions.

During the celebration, the Greater Jackson Kappa Foundatiom, Inc. presented a $3,000 scholarship contribution to Tougaloo College, further demonstrating our commitment to education and investing in the next generation of leaders.

Congratulations, Brother Dr. Wiggins! The brothers of Jackson and Canton-Madison stand with you and wish you and Tougaloo College continued success.

This morning, members of the Executive Leadership of the Jackson (MS) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. were honored to attend the Divine Nine Unity Breakfast featuring U.S. Senator Angela D. Alsobrooks in support of Scott Colom for U.S. Senate.

The breakfast provided an opportunity for fellowship, meaningful dialogue, and collaboration with leaders from across the Divine Nine as we continue working to strengthen our communities through civic engagement and service.

Building Futures Beyond the Classroom 💰📈

At Kappa Kamp–Jackson, we believe that preparing young men for success means equipping them with the knowledge and resources to build a strong financial future.

A special thank you to Kiyadh Burt for delivering an engaging and practical Financial Literacy session, where Kampers learned the importance of budgeting, saving, investing, and making sound financial decisions.

We are also grateful to Yaya McGee for assisting each Kamper with opening a personal bank account an important first step toward financial independence.

A heartfelt thank you to Brother Kori Roby, whose generous donation provided the opening deposits for every Kamper’s new account. His investment ensures that each young man leaves Kappa Kamp–Jackson with both the knowledge and the opportunity to begin building a strong financial foundation.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Southwestern Province GLAD Chairman Brother L.J. Molden and Brother Bill Bynum of Hope Credit Union for their leadership, partnership, and support in sponsoring this initiative. Their commitment to financial empowerment helped make this life-changing opportunity possible for every Kamper.

Because of this outstanding collaboration, every Kamper left with practical financial knowledge, a newly established bank account, and a meaningful investment in his future.

Jackson (MS) Alumni Chapter Celebrates Excellence in Leadership and Service

The Brothers of the Jackson (MS) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. proudly congratulate our 39th Polemarch, Dr. Victor Sutton, and our distinguished chapter member, Dr. James L. Coleman, Jr., on Dr. Coleman’s recognition in the 500th commemorative issue of The Kappa Alpha Psi Journal.

This prestigious recognition highlights Dr. Coleman’s extraordinary contributions to healthcare, chronic disease management, public health policy, research, and executive leadership. As Chief Executive Officer of G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center, he has dedicated his career to improving access to quality healthcare and advancing health equity for medically underserved communities throughout Central Mississippi.

Dr. Coleman has long exemplified the values of scholarship, achievement, and service that define Kappa Alpha Psi. His commitment to excellence has positively impacted countless lives and continues to inspire those who follow his example.
