Join Jackson State University at the Two Mississippi Museums for a special History Is Lunch program celebrating the re-release of Jackson State University: The First Hundred Years, 1877–1977 by Dr. Lelia Gaston Rhodes.

As JSU prepares to celebrate 150 years next year, we’ll reflect on the people, defining moments and enduring legacy that have shaped our university and its place in Mississippi history.

Featuring a distinguished panel of historians, university trailblazers and first hand witnesses, this multimedia conversation will honor Dr. Rhodes’ contribution to preserving JSU’s history and explore how our past continues to shape our future.

Come celebrate our history, honor those who preserved it and join the conversation as we count down to 150 years of Jackson State University! 💙🤍
