Bernice “Boney” Sietman, Class of 1966, is our 2026 Community Service Award recipient! A graduate in Elementary Education, Bernice has spent decades serving others through education, church ministry, and community outreach.

For the past 17 years, Bernice has been involved in jail and prison ministry, including leading a Christ-centered recovery ministry at Ohio’s women penitentiary and teaching Bible studies to incarcerated women. She has also ministered to women overcoming addiction, served in nursing homes and homeless shelters, and taught children through Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Boney’s heart is focused on the Lord and finding ways to be His hands and feet. Boney, thank you for showing us what a lifetime of faithful, ordinary obedience can accomplish for the Kingdom.

The Community Service Award is presented to an alumnus whose mature understanding of the Christian faith has been instrumental in their commitment to build their local community.
