🌟 Senior Spotlight 🌟

Asjah Johnson, a Spring 2021 initiate from Memphis, TN is receiving her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a double minor in Communication Studies and Creative Writing. After graduation, Asjah plans to obtain her master's degree in medical administration. Asjah has also served as Chapter Secretary, Ivy Leaf Reporter, and currently serves as President. During her time at Millsaps, Asjah participated as a member of the Pan-African Student Alliance, Lighthouse | Black Girls Projects x Millsaps, interned with Canopy Children’s Solutions and the Phil Hardin Foundation, and currently serves as President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council and as chairwoman of the Working Groups Committee for Fraternity and Sorority Life.

Amiya Lumar, a Spring 2021 Initiate from Edgard, LA, is receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology and Anthropology with a concentration in Anthropology. After graduation, Amiya plans on perusing a Masters in Forensics and Mortuary Science. She served as the Chapter Vice President, and Historian. During her time at Millsaps, Amiya also was apart of the Millsaps Cheer team, Student Body Association, and the track team.

The Ladies of Lambda Iota would like to congratulate our sisters, Lorin, Asjah, Bianca, and Elyssia for being recognized at Millsaps’s Student Award Ceremony!

Our president, Asjah Johnson, received the Dr. Darby Ray Souls Afire Honor Award, Outstanding Chapter President Award, and the “Who’s Who?” of Millsaps award.

Our Secretary, Elyssia Jones, received the New Greek Member of the Year Award.

Our Ivy Leaf Reporter, Bianca Jones, received the Unsung Greek Hero Award.

Our Chaplain, Lorin Brown, received the Dr.Darby Ray Souls Afire Honor Award.
