So grateful for this service to our students !

This Fall, all enrolled students will now receive free telehealth medical and mental health care along with safety services through our partnership with SafeWell.

“We care deeply about our students both inside and outside of the classroom,” said Dean for Students Dr. Paul Morgan. “In order for them to do and be their best, we have to give them the tools to do so. We don’t want a student to have to choose between getting the medical care they need and paying their bills or taking care of other responsibilities. This service is our commitment to help alleviate that burden to themselves and their families so they can come to class knowing we are there for them.”

As an added benefit, the services offered to JSCC students through SafeWell are also extended to up to four immediate family members at no additional cost. Family members can utilize the same $0 copays, personal safety tools, and more while the student is enrolled at the college.

What a fabulous day! The class of 2027 and 2028 and faculty enjoyed a full day of orientation together. Supporting the incoming class was a goal of the class of 2027. This always makes the incoming cohort feel more comfortable and helps them know they have plenty of support as they begin their journeys to becoming Respiratory Therapists.

Yaay for our local RTs. WTH starting pay just went up! We are so excited for all the pay increases happening for our field.

The selection process for our newest Respiratory Therapy cohort has been completed, and all applicants have been notified.

This year, we received the largest and one of the strongest applicant pools in our program’s history. Selecting a class was incredibly difficult because so many applicants demonstrated the qualities we seek in future respiratory therapists.

To those who were not selected this cycle, please don’t be discouraged. We are committed to helping you develop a plan to strengthen your application for the next admissions cycle. We will gladly work with you to identify opportunities for the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters that can make you an even stronger candidate.

The healthcare community desperately needs more Respiratory Therapists, but our program is approved to enroll only a limited number of students each year. If becoming an RT is your goal, we encourage you to stay the course. We look forward to helping you prepare for the next application cycle.

Congratulations to those who have been accepted into this year’s cohort! We are excited to welcome you and can’t wait to watch you begin your journey toward becoming outstanding Respiratory Therapists.
