The Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. brought Iceee Cold Tuesday to both Edward Waters University and Jacksonville University!

Our brothers connected with students across both campuses while passing out ice-cold treats and bringing some Alpha spirit to the school day. As we continue through the semester, Kappa Upsilon looks forward to strengthening our presence, building connections, and engaging with both campus communities.

The Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. welcomes the students of Edward Waters University and Jacksonville University back to campus for another year of excellence.

As the semester begins, we challenge every student to remain committed to their goals, embrace new opportunities, build meaningful connections, and make this year one to remember.

Tuesdays Iceeee Cold at EWU.

The Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., alongside the Kappa Upsilon Royal Court, hosted Ice Cold Tuesday at Edward Waters University.

Students stopped by throughout the afternoon to connect with the Brothers and Royal Court while enjoying popsicles and a break from the summer heat.

Ice Cold Tuesday is just one of many opportunities to connect with Kappa Upsilon this semester. Be sure to stay connected and look out for more programs, events, and opportunities to engage with us on campus.

The Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. had the opportunity to assist with Jacksonville University’s Move-In Day, helping welcome students and families to campus as they begin a new academic year.

We were also proud to serve alongside the Brothers of the Sigma Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Sigma-Oop Alphas We sincerely thank them for their time, support, and continued spirit of brotherhood and service.

A Day of Service. A Day of Brotherhood.

Today, the brothers of the Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. had the opportunity to serve both our community and the Edward Waters University family.

We started the day by partnering with New Town Success Zone to help distribute groceries and provide support to members of the Jacksonville community. It was a great opportunity to give back and serve those in need.

We also assisted with Freshman Move-In at Edward Waters University, helping welcome the newest Tigers as they began their college journey.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to serve and make a positive impact both on campus and in our community. We look forward to continuing to represent the values of Alpha Phi Alpha through service, leadership, and brotherhood.

Leadership is demonstrated not only through service, but through staying informed and engaged.

The Brothers of the Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. were honored to attend the “A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People” Town Hall hosted by the Upsilon Lambda and Sigma Pi Lambda Chapters in partnership with the Jacksonville NAACP.

The evening provided an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on civic engagement, voter education, and the importance of making our voices heard. We were also honored to meet Florida State Representative Angie Nixon and appreciate her taking the time to speak with attendees and encourage continued community involvement.

Thank you to the hosts, panelists, Angie Nixon , and everyone who made this impactful event possible. Experiences like these continue to inspire us to lead with purpose and remain committed to serving our campus and the Jacksonville community.

The Kappa Upsilon Chapter proudly congratulates Bro. DeJau Travis, a Spring 2025 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and the Immediate Past Chapter President, on earning his Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and Sociology from Jacksonville University. 🖤💛

Following graduation, Bro. Travis will be relocating to our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., to further pursue his interests in public advocacy by earning a Master of Public Policy degree. As he begins this next chapter, we are confident that his dedication to leadership and service will continue to create lasting impact wherever he goes.
