The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Philosophy, a BA in Religious Studies, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Practical Philosophy and Applied Ethics. The undergraduate Philosophy program (Major/Minor) entails a wide range of courses based on a commitment to pluralism in philosophical analysis, includin

g Anglo-American, European-Continental as well as Comparative Perspectives. The M.A. in Practical Philosophy and Applied Ethics allows for the advanced study of ethical, social, political and cultural philosophy as well as applied ethics. The well-established Graduate Program is unique in the state of Florida and equally geared to prepare students for future graduate work as well as aid professionals with ethical expertise. The related Graduate Certificate in Applied Ethics is particularly designed for active professionals. The undergraduate Religious Studies program (Major/Minor) is dedicated to the comparative study of religion in a humanities and social science framework, Religious Studies offers courses that explore commonalities and differences across the world's traditions today and in the past, as well as introducing current theoretical and methodological tools from the field for investigation and interpretation of complex religious beliefs and practices.
