Congratulations to our 2024 cohort who just graduated!!!
What an incredible accomplishment! After two years of hard work, personal growth, late nights on writing papers, meaningful conversations, and countless moments of perseverance, our CMHC graduate students have officially reached this milestone. 💙

We are so proud of each of you and all that you have become along the way. As you begin this next chapter, we are excited to see where your hearts, talents, and passion for helping others take you.

Congratulations, graduates! Your journey is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see all that you will accomplish. 🌟🎓💙 Photos: part 1

Counseling Our Communities: Summer Workshop for PID
Day two of Counseling Our Communities brought 15 of our CMHC students to Little Creek Ranch, where they explored the role of nature and animals in supporting health, wellness, and healing.
Guided by the horses, students practiced a "soft eyes" approach to observing the world—slowing down, broadening awareness, and becoming fully present in the moment. Through mindful sensory experiences, they intentionally noticed the sounds, sights, smells, and rhythms of the natural environment while reflecting on how presence and curiosity can strengthen both personal well-being and clinical practice.
A heartfelt thank you to Little Creek Ranch for sharing their beautiful space and creating an environment where future counselors can experience firsthand how nature, mindfulness, and the human-animal connection can deepen self-awareness and support holistic approaches to care.
