Jax State Housing and Residence Life We want you to make Gamecock housing your home away from home and enhance your community through joining its goals and purposes.

The Jax State residential community is comprised of ten residence halls, eight apartment complexes, and three specialty houses, all within walking distance of the academic buildings on campus. We hope this year will be full of personal growth and educational accomplishments. Please know that our residence life staff is here to assist and support you in the community! On-campus living provides oppo

rtunities for involvement, activities, and knowledge. We believe that learning does not end in the classroom but is enhanced by interacting with a diverse group of residents, participating in leadership opportunities, and engaging in life-learning activities. We also provide multiple Living Learning Communities that support the greater mission of the University and the Office of Housing Operations & Residence Life. These LLCs provide students with innovative residential, academic, and service programming to enhance your college experience!

Fall 2026 Move-In is officially in the books! 🐓📦🎉

A massive THANK YOU to the family members, volunteers, and campus staff who worked through the heat to make this a success. Your dedication showed our students what it means to be a Gamecock. To our residents: thank you for choosing Jacksonville State University. We are honored to serve you.

Move-in is officially UNDERWAY! We are so thrilled to welcome our Gamecocks home to campus today! 🐓📦

If you are arriving between today, Wednesday, August 12, and Saturday, August 15, here is your quick checklist for a smooth arrival:

Check In First: Report to our centralized drive-thru at the Pete Mathews Coliseum parking lot BEFORE heading to your residence hall to collect your keys.

Verify Your Booking: Log into THD Self Service (https://jsu.datacenter.adirondacksolutions.com/jsu_thdss_prod/index.html) to confirm your assignment details.

Bring Your ID: You must present a valid photo ID to check in. A government-issued ID, like a driver's license, works perfectly if you do not have your physical JCard yet!

Stay Hydrated: It is expected to be extremely hot today, so please pack extra water and take care of yourself in the heat. (In the event of severe inclement weather, coliseum operations will close and check-in will move directly to the individual residence halls).

Bring a Cart: Because unloading zones are busy and volunteer helpers are limited, we highly recommend bringing a personal hand truck or rolling cart to make unloading your vehicle quick and easy.

Just as a craftsman measures twice to ensure a perfect joint you must verify your routing before driving to campus.

How To Execute Your Arrival

Step 1: Verify your approved move in date inside your Housing Portal https://jsu.datacenter.adirondacksolutions.com/jsu_thdss_prod/index.html

Step 2: Early arrivals reporting prior to the main move in days of August 12-15 proceed directly to their assigned residence hall.

Step 3: Standard arrivals reporting during the main move in days of August 12-15 proceed directly to the centralized drive thru check in at the Pete Mathews Coliseum.

Step 4: Present your valid JCard to the Housing staff to officially accept your booking process assignment and receive your keys.

Your professional ownership of this process ensures a flawless transition.

Your Action Plan:

1️⃣ Check Your Location: First-year and upper-class students must report to the Pete Mathews Coliseum drive thru.

2️⃣ Review Your Time: Log into the Official Housing Portal one last time to double check your confirmed arrival time slot.

3️⃣ Finalize Packing: Remember you are strictly limited to two vehicles. Box trucks and trailers are completely prohibited.

Living on campus is a symbiotic partnership requiring firm guidance and support. JAX State HRL seeks uncompromising leaders to serve as Assistant Residence Life Coordinators. This twelve month live on role requires you to hold peers accountable, facilitate the booking process, and cultivate a culture of ownership among first year and upper class students. The comprehensive compensation package covers your costs with fully furnished housing, utilities, a biweekly stipend, and a graduate tuition scholarship.

From our frontline Resident Assistants to our Graduate Assistants and Assistant Residence Life Coordinators these leaders have managed crisis built community and ensured every first-year and upper-class resident feels seen and valued. They guided families through the booking process ensured secure facility access with every JCard swipe and helped students navigate the Official Housing Portal with absolute professionalism.
