Alley joined us last semester for a special session and made such an impact on the students in our Worship Leadership program! And we can't wait to see her again on September 26th. This opportunity is open to all songwriters of high school age and up. Lunch is included with your ticket purchase.

If you're writing a song for the first time or sharpening your existing skills, you'll want to be in the room as Alley shares her heart, her craft, and her wisdom!

We're excited to welcome Patric Young to Trinity College of Jacksonville as our Spiritual Emphasis Chapel Speaker today and Friday!

As a former professional basketball player, and standout for the University of Florida Gators, Patric helped lead the team to three Elite Eight appearances and a Final Four berth in 2014. He earned two-time All-SEC honors, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and 1,000 career points.

In 2022, a devastating car accident left Patric paralyzed from the waist down. Although this was an unexpected turn in his life, he has spent every day since then intentionally becoming who God has called him to be.

Now a motivational speaker, author, and philanthropist, Patric challenges others to live with purpose.

Our students are in for a powerful and encouraging time as Patric speaks into their lives this week. He's joined us as a guest several times in recent years, and we're truly grateful for his continued investment in our TCJ community!

Today's chapel speaker, Dr. Jeremiah Stanley, met TCJ students right where many of them live, with the question “Do I actually matter?”

That question creeps in our hearts after being cut from a team, feeling isolated from friends, or seeing a grade that stings. And it's easy to believe our worth rises and falls with our performance.

Dr. Stanley offered students something steadier, Genesis 2:7, reminding them that God formed us from dust and breathed His own breath into us. Our worth didn't start with something we did — it started with something God gave.
"Your worth is received, not achieved," he said. And because it was never earned, it can never be lost.

Even in a world where technology is reshaping what humans "do," Jeremiah Stanley reassured students that their value was never rooted in “doing” to begin with. It's rooted in the breath of God that filled them.
For any student wondering if they matter, today's message was clear: you already do. You always have.

Thank you, Dr. Stanley, for reminding our students where their worth truly comes from.

Dr. Jeremiah Stanley
Pastor, Trinity at Mandarin

Jeremiah is a TCJ alum (‘03) who returned to serve on staff at the college from 2007-2023 in the Student Life department. As the former Vice President of Student Affairs and former Dean of Students, Jeremiah is no stranger to our campus and in July 2023 he became the campus pastor at Trinity Mandarin.

Jeremiah Stanley has been married to his wife, Jenny, for 27 years and they have three boys: Trent, Braeden, and Grayson. In addition to spending time with his family, Jeremiah enjoys being outdoors and especially loves working on their family hobby farm. Jeremiah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Theology from Trinity College of Jacksonville, a Master of Arts in Theology and Master of Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

This is what community looks like at TCJ: showing up for each other for the big and the small things.

We want to say THANK YOU to all of our student volunteers who welcomed our new students with open arms. On move-in day you helped bring in luggage, clothes, supplies, and other items for their dorms. (A big deal in this Florida heat and humidity!) More than that, you became a familiar face and made a very big day just a little easier for every parent, guardian, and new student.

Moments like this reflect the culture here at Trinity College of Jacksonville. And we are grateful for every opportunity to show kindness, support, and God's love!

This week, Trinity College of Jacksonville alumnus and Trinity pastor Zach Hardy stopped by chapel with a challenge that's still sitting with us:

"What if God wants to do something IN YOU that is far more important than anything he could do FOR YOU?"

Zachary Andrew Hardy challenged our students to walk into this semester with open hearts, ready for God to do the deep, transforming work within them, not just the visible blessings around them.

We're grateful for all of our TCJ alumni who keep pouring back into this community.

Our Trinity College of Jacksonville students started this Fall Semester off with a First Day of School Breakfast, and the room was full of smiles and back-to-school energy.

Then it was on to Chapel, where we introduced student body officers, shared this year’s spiritual theme, and announced that there will be a special guest speaker for Spiritual Emphasis week! (Stay tuned!)

Dr. Christmas closed with a strong message on what it means to follow Jesus, challenging students to evaluate their lives and put their faith in Him!

Here's to a GREAT semester ahead — welcome back, TCJ Eagles!
