On Wednesday, August 12, Jacksonville University’s Keigwin School of Nursing welcomed three incredible new cohorts: the Baptist Health Systems 12-month Accelerated BSN, Direct Entry Master’s in partnership with Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, and the Traditional undergraduate.
We are excited to begin this journey alongside our newest nursing students. Today marks the beginning of an educational journey that will prepare you to lead, serve, and make a lasting impact in healthcare.

Take your nursing career to the next level with a Master of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University. Nurse Practitioners assume a more advanced role in healthcare, and our programs empower graduates to deliver effective and holistic care for various settings. Our programs:

Offer full-time and part-time tracks so you have the freedom and flexibility to continue working while earning your degree.
Prepare graduates for American Nurses Credentialing Center national certification exams and, after successful completion of those exams, can apply for APRN licensure in Florida.

Congratulations to Dr. McRae, Dr. Hart, and Dr. Wolf on their latest publication!
Exploring a collaborative, mentorship-driven approach to accreditation preparation.

By adapting Benner's Novice to Expert framework, faculty across undergraduate and graduate programs partnered to strengthen accreditation readiness, foster professional development, and support succession planning. The result: full faculty engagement, successful alignment of reaccreditation cycles, and no accreditation compliance concerns across programs.

This work highlights the power of mentorship, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement in advancing nursing education and academic excellence.

Leadership through service was on full display as Dr. Amber Santos and Dr. Lindsay Wolf, in collaboration with Nemours Children’s Clinic, led 33 undergraduate students and 2 graduate students in volunteering at Diabetes Camp, hosted on the Jacksonville University campus.

This meaningful experience provided students with the opportunity to serve children and families, build lasting connections, and demonstrate compassion while supporting an incredible program dedicated to empowering youth living with diabetes.

The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to developing future healthcare professionals through hands-on service, community engagement, and interprofessional leadership. The enthusiasm, empathy, and professionalism demonstrated by the students reflected the values of Jacksonville University and its community partners.

Thank you to Nemours Children’s Clinic and everyone who helped make this impactful week possible. Together, Dr. Santos and Dr. Wolf continue to inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders through service, mentorship, and collaboration!
