We are pleased to share the news of the publication of Adjunct Professor, Rabbi, and Doctor Daniel Goodman’s newest book, which is a co-edited volume (peer-reviewed by SUNY Press) on interfaith dialogue and interreligious relations. The book contains chapters on the theologies of interfaith engagement from the perspectives of nearly every major world religion. Goodman wrote the chapter on interfaith and Judaism. The chapter on interfaith and Catholicism is from Ines Murzaku, head of Catholic Studies at Seton Hall. The book is the product of a 13-year effort, begun by Goodman and his dear colleague and friend, the Baha’i scholar Anthony A. Lee (Buddhist Studies scholar Elaine Lai joined them 5 years ago), to produce a book of this nature and truly global scope. https://sunypress.edu/Books/B/Beyond-Dialogue

On the morning of Wednesday, June 10, retired Adjunct Professor Andrea Florendo spoke at Thomas Berry Place, a spiritual retreat center here in Jamaica, on the theme of her book Romance of the Enclosed Garden: Song of Songs (https://readingglassbooks.com/product/romance-of-the-enclosed-garden-song-of-songs/). Afterwards, she conducted a tour of the Mary Garden she designed on the Center’s grounds. Later that evening, she showcased some of her pressed flower art at the Princess Grace Kelly exhibit at the American Irish Historical Society in Manhattan. There, she also met with Geraldine Byrne Nason, the Ambassador of Ireland to the United States (in royal blue). Congrats Prof. Florendo on a successful — and very busy — day! 👏 Thomas Berry Place American Irish Historical Society
