I am going to create a Group attached to my personal FB page. If you are not already a friend on my FB page, please do a search for, Linda Jenkins Thompson and do a friend request. The Group will be called, "Linda's Fellow Nursing Students Forum". It is here that I will post important reminders about upcoming meetings, exams, clinicals, etc. It is also going to be a place for us to vent our frustrations and celebrate our successes. I will disable this Page in two weeks to allow everyone a chance to switch over.

This weekend I will be working on creating a "Group" page instead of this "Page". What this means is I will be deleting this "Page" sometime next week and you will have to join the "Group" from my personal FB account. Also, this may make it easier to search and find. I still would like ideas on what to name our "Group" without mentioning the school's name.

***NOTE***IMPORTANT***

You MUST have a TWO STEP PPD (Tuberculosis test)!!

What this means is you get your initial injection and go back and have it read 48 - 72 hours later THEN

wait two weeks AND

Go do it all over again.

The reason for the two step PPD is a liability issue for the school to make sure if you were to become infected with Tuberculosis we can not blame it on clinicals through our studies (the Doctor today who did my test told me the reason behind it.)

Please, make sure you have enough time to get your results before the deadline. You won't want to lose your seat over this!!!

Looks like I am going to have to change the name of the page...I was told today that we cannot mention the school or use it's name on any social network sites. Also, no posting any pictures with the school logo or uniforms (your personal FB page is okay). So, I think I will change the page name to "Linda's ADN Class 2014" unless anyone else has another suggestion - I'm open for ideas.
