Congratulations to graduate Maddox Knorr on completing his internship with United Way of Chautauqua County! 👏

Experiences like this are a great example of the many internship and hands-on learning opportunities available to our students that help prepare them for successful careers.

We’re proud of Maddox and excited to see where his journey takes him next!

This week, we said farewell to Maddox Knorr, who has spent the last several months interning with us at United Way of Chautauqua County — gaining firsthand experience in the nonprofit sector.

Maddox recently graduated from Jamestown Community College with a focus in marketing and sales, and is now preparing for his next chapter as he heads off to college this fall.

During his time at UWCHQ, Maddox had the opportunity to experience many different aspects of our work — from helping write press releases and compile analytics, to working alongside our Director of Finance & Administration. He also became trained through our VITA tax preparation program and played a role during this past tax season helping local residents prepare and file their taxes.

We’re grateful for the time, energy, and enthusiasm Maddox brought to our team, and we wish him all the best in the future. Congratulations, Maddox!

Join us in congratulating our director of Residence Life, Tyler Silagyi, on being named the next president of the State University of New York Residence Life and Housing Administrators organization!

A two-time graduate, Tyler has been a dedicated leader on our Jamestown Campus for nearly a decade, helping create a supportive and engaging residential experience for students while also building strong connections across SUNY campuses.

His leadership helped make JCC the first community college to independently host a SUNYRLHA conference last year. That milestone achievement that reflects his commitment to student success and collaboration in higher education.

We’re proud to see Tyler represent JCC and community colleges across SUNY in this important leadership role!
