🧙‍♂️⚖️🦢Where do you go for drama during an era without television and reality TV? Come find out at this September's LU-MRRL Lecture Series: Sorcery, Scandals, and... Swans? Early Modern Crimes & Punishments event on Sept. 9 from 6:30-8 p.m.! This month's lecture will be given by Hannah Bowling, assistant professor English at Lincoln University of Missouri. She will discuss high-and low-profile court cases that are gruesome, sad or just plain strange, reminding us that people from the 1400s-1700s are not all that different from us today.

🎓 A new academic year. A proud Lincoln tradition. 160 years of Lincoln University.

As we prepare for Opening Convocation this Thursday, Sept. 3, we’re pleased to welcome Lincoln alumnus Christopher Paynter ’07, D.O., M.S., FACOFP, as this year’s convocation speaker.

Dr. Paynter is a family physician with SSM Health Medical Group and regional assistant dean for Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. As a Lincoln graduate, he brings a special connection to the university and the students who will gather for this year’s celebration.

Join us at 11 a.m. in Mitchell Auditorium at the Richardson Fine Arts Center as we officially open the academic year and continue a tradition that has helped mark the beginning of each new chapter at Lincoln.
