Finding your fit in these areas can be challenging, but you don't have to do it alone. Join us for a sophomore-exclusive event:
SOPH-FIT Bootcamp
October 28, 2015
12pm - 1pm

At the SOPH-FIT Bootcamp, you will learn the importance of finding your fit and discover the resources available to you on campus.

Attendees will be given the chance to make appointments with advisors and receive priority registration. For this reason, space is limited and registration is REQUIRED.

This event entitled, “ Making Major Decisions” will provide students with a forum to explore the opportunities listed below.

Hey Class of 2016, 2017 & 2018!

Did you have a good experience your freshman year, and want to help others have that same positive experience?

Apply to be a GEMS Peer Mentor!

Most of you may already have a good idea what a GEMS Peer Mentor does because you had one work with you in your Freshman Seminar.

Here's some more information:

Main points of the job description:
Attend Freshman Seminar class once a week
Work with faculty to help support struggling students
Meet with Patrice McDonald once a week to discuss student concerns
Hold group study and/or tutoring sessions
Generally help students in their transition to college life so they
are successful

This is a leadership position with a competitive application process.
Students make $7.25 an hour with other great benefits as well.

Thursday, Feb. 26: Saint Peter's University Student Health Professions Panel. The student panelists will discuss strategies for being a well-rounded student and applying to health related professional schools. A Student Health Profession Panel List will be made available -- it will contain the names and contact information of current students and alumni who have volunteered to serve as peer mentors for students interested in pursuing a health profession. This is the second year for this event, whose idea was conceived and designed by Cassandra Demosthenes, Class of 2014.
