Thank you to Mrs. Noland and the Partners in Excellence for visiting us in Bishop Hall last night! We had a great night sharing what we do here in IPE at ETSU, engaging them in an activity we use with many students, and showing them all of the simulation spaces here in Bishop Hall.

ETSU was well represented at the recent Tennessee Interprofessional Practice and Education Consortium Annual Conference in Nashville. Dr. Florence Weierbach (College of Nursing), Dr. Alicia Williams (Center for Interprofessional Collaboration), Dr. Tabitha Fair (College of Health Sciences - Dental Hygiene), Dr. Christy Isbell (College of Health Sciences - Occupational Therapy), and Taylor Warmbrod (3rd year Occupational Therapy doctoral student) presented combined three professional posters and one presentation. Other members of the ETSU community were also in attendance.

Congratulations to Dr. Isbell who received an award for Best Poster Presentation, receiving the popular vote for her poster, "Interprofessional Approach to Feeding in Prenatally Substance Exposed Infants and Toddlers."

Congratulations to Caroline Abercrombie (Director or Experiential Learning for the Quillen College of Medicine and Director of Community Engagement for ETSU Center for Interprofessional Collaboration) and the IPE Team at ETSU for having a presentation accepted at the ASPE Annual Conference to discuss our wonderful standardized patient program and their partnership in the educational process both in simulation and IPE. One of the award recipients at this year's IPE Recognition Ceremony was Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital who was awarded the Foundational Partner award. This award recognizes a community partner for their support of IPE programming at ETSU and incredible example of team-based care in the community. Director of IPE, Dr. Brian Cross and Director of Community Engagement, Dr. Caroline Abercrombie presented Debbie Wyse, Kristen Schober, and CEO Rob Adams with a plaque this morning which read, "In Recognition of Your Foundational Partnership, ​Inspirational Student Teaching, & Unwavering Support ​of IPE Programming at ETSU Academic Health Sciences Center." Congratulations Quillen Rehab Hospital and thank you for your continued partnership with IPE at ETSU!

Last week, students, faculty, and staff involved in Asynchronous IPE gathered in Bishop Hall to celebrate the students' completion of their IPE training. Over the past year, these students have been completing their interprofessional training with their groups and faculty facilitators completely online. The Meet and Greets gave students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to gather in-person, and students received their IPE Completion Certificates and a cord for graduation. Congratulations to these students on completing your IPE training, and thank you to all of the faculty, staff, and standardized patients that make this program possible!

As students cross the stage today for graduation, ETSU Interprofessional Education would like to congratulate all of the students that completed IPE training during their time at ETSU and reflect on this 2023-2024 academic year. This year, we had a record number of students complete IPE training with more than 350 students across the synchronous and asynchronous models. This class consisted of both undergraduate and graduate students from all five colleges within the AHSC. We would also like to thank our faculty, standardized patients, and community partners who make this possible.
