We are so excited to host the 2nd Annual ChemConnect Symposium this Saturday, April 18th! This event connects the ETSU Department of Chemistry with students, faculty, and professionals from many other departments, disciplines, and industries. It is sure to be a great event!

Professor Butler's Intro Chem Survey class made their own "Compound Trading Cards" today and participated in a "Compound Battle Tournament" to determine which compound would come out on top! The competition was steep: 24 competitors from team Ionic and team Covalent. After a final showdown between magnesium oxide (MgO) and dihydrogen monoxide (H2O), dihydrogen monoxide was determined the winner by majority vote for being essential to life and use as a solvent. 🏆🥇🤓
