Professor Butler's Intro Chem Survey class made their own "Compound Trading Cards" today and participated in a "Compound Battle Tournament" to determine which compound would come out on top! The competition was steep: 24 competitors from team Ionic and team Covalent. After a final showdown between magnesium oxide (MgO) and dihydrogen monoxide (H2O), dihydrogen monoxide was determined the winner by majority vote for being essential to life and use as a solvent. 🏆🥇🤓
