Collaboration. Conversation. A shared vision for a healthier west Kentucky. I was pleased to recently welcome representatives from the University of Louisville to campus as we continued discussions about Murray State’s pursuit of a School of Medicine. This partnership represents an important step toward recruiting and training more physicians to serve west Kentucky and the Commonwealth. I’m excited about what lies ahead.

There’s nothing like Move-In at Murray State University.
First Lady Jenny and I loved spending time with our students and Move-In teams today as hundreds of Racers begin a new chapter at The Finest Place We Know.
The energy is palpable-new roommates meeting, friendships beginning, families helping with those last few boxes, and returning Racers reconnecting with their community.
To our students: Welcome home.
To our families: Thank you for trusting us with this important chapter. I know Move-In can bring plenty of excitement and maybe a few happy tears.
And, we are especially grateful to the faculty, staff, resident advisors, student volunteers and housing teams who make this experience possible. The warmth and Racer spirit I saw yesterday set the tone for a great year ahead.
