Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) was founded on November 1, 1901 at Richmond College, now the University of Richmond, in Richmond, VA. Since then, SigEp has grown to become one of the largest fraternities in the country. Around 15,000 SigEp undergraduates are on 232 college campuses each year. They are among the more than 300,000 lifetime brothers who have joined since 1901. SigEp was founded with the ca

rdinal principles of Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love. Our mission is “Building Balanced Men,” which is achieved through a commitment to Sound Mind and Sound Body. The Sigma Phi Epsilon Tennessee-Gamma Chapter at East Tennessee State University was founded on April 10, 1954. It is the oldest standing fraternity at ETSU. It is the largest fraternity on campus with over 60+ active members and over 1100 alumni.
