What do fifth graders learn at Nursing School? How to be the friend who knows what to do.

Last week, Gloversville students got hands-on training at SUNY FMCC in concussion prevention and recognition. They learned the signs, practiced screening, and learned what to do when it matters.

According to the CDC, "Approximately 3.2% (2.3 million) of children and adolescents aged 17 and under have ever received a clinical diagnosis of a concussion or brain injury."

Now, more students are ready to help. And you can be, too. For more information, visit: https://www.safekids.org/guide/concussion-guide-parents
