A camp so delicious it had these junior chefs walking on sunshine!

This week's 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 & 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀 (𝗟𝗟𝗖 𝟯𝟭𝟲𝟱) at JJC's City Center campus was filled with homemade ice cream, watermelon pizza, fruit kebabs with fruit dip, homemade pop tarts, cinnamon French toast muffins, the viral and oh-so-trendy Dot cakes, veggie cups with dip and homemade pizza.

Week 2 of Kids College was packed with discovery and adventure! 🌟

This week, campers explored new skills, unleashed their creativity and tackled exciting challenges across a variety of camps. Students traveled the globe through treats and traditions in 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 (𝗟𝗟𝗖 𝟯𝟭𝟲𝟲), created their own animated stories in 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗢 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗟𝗟𝗖 𝟭𝟮𝟵𝟯), designed unique characters in 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲: 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 (𝗟𝗟𝗖 𝟭𝟯𝟯𝟮), explored innovation in 𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝟯𝗗 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗟𝗟𝗖 𝟭𝟯𝟯𝟮) and sharpened their investigative skills in 𝗦𝗽𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆: 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 (𝗟𝗟𝗖 𝟳𝟬𝟮𝟮). 🌎🎬🎨⚙️🕵️

Join this Kids College camp and discover the basics of American Sign Language in a fun, engaging environment! Students ages 8–15 will learn how to fingerspell their ABCs, practice everyday conversations and explore topics such as greetings, colors, numbers, animals and family signs.

Calling all curious minds ages 12–17! In this exciting Kids College camp, students will design, build and launch their own weather balloons to collect real-time data from the atmosphere. As their balloons soar, they'll explore how weather patterns influence energy use and discover why sunshine and wind are essential for powering our world.

After the launch, campers will analyze their data and learn how renewable energy systems like solar and wind depend on changing weather conditions. Through hands-on activities, teamwork and engaging discussions, students will connect science, sustainability and climate in a truly sky-high adventure!

Little hands, big imaginations and plenty of air-dry clay! 🏺✨

These young artists spent three days last week during Functional Ceramics Making Camp creating, exploring and getting their hands delightfully messy. We loved watching their confidence grow with every pinch, coil and drop of paint. They each created tic tac toe boards, pinch pots and bobble heads!
